War Is Pain

A statement about the world
Is there a purpose for this pain
And no one knows the reason
We go through this is vain
We’ve sent them all to death
Though war is what it’s called
Stack them up and then
Watch them all fall
Losing one friends brother,
Or husband, or son
Can we have them back
Once the war is won?
And anyways why are we
Promised endless lies
We know the outcome is
A million more tries
And though I love my country
I don’t agree with how its run
Are we getting anywhere,
With every war that’s won?!?
